I chose this length of time because it changed my whole life in a few months. About a year ago, I was across LA from here.  This was a big event in my life, so that is why I chose to write about me moving from Long Beach to Pasadena. I used shading and perspective to help tell my story. When developing my story, I was planning to use less panels then the 8 that I did, just 6. It turned out to be 8 when I realized that I needed to provide more context. I included the map on panel 4 just to show how long my dad was driving to and from work every day. This connects to Persepolis because I went through a big change in my life, kind of like how the war affected her life in Iran.
