For my web comic memoir I choose “the time I split my face open”. I chose this topic because it's one of the most important events that happened to me in my life. It relates to Persepolis because everyone can get through hard times like Marjane and I did.

I use big panels for big feelings and small panels for small feelings and I scaled myself either up or down regarding my confidence at that moment. Sometimes “I felt like I was the king of the world”.

I named my comic “clipped” because it's a word that directly relates to what happened in that moment, the unimaginable pain, the concussion, the passing out all relates to my situation.

In conclusion I covered how this comic directly affected how I developed and how this moment featured directly scared me for life.
