I chose this memory because it was the beginning of a big change in my life. It was the beginning of Coronavirus and the start of quarantine. To come up with my idea, I thought of memories that were a big change in my life and the beginning of Covid just kept coming up in my mind. I also chose the beginning of Covid because I thought it would be a funny story to look back on. I added extra details to make the surroundings look like I remember. I also made details like making the car small driving through to show how big the desert is and also showing how long the drive is. I balanced words and images in this story by having some panels with narration and some panels without it. I had one panel without dialogue and narration and I think that panel helped balance the words and images in the story. My theme relates to Persepolis because it’s the beginning of a big change in my life. For me, the change was the beginning of Covid and for Marji it’s the start of the new regime with all the new rules. I did not use AI in this Webcomic.
