I chose to write and draw about my life because I thought people should know about any race that can be a family. It connects to Persepolis the book because in Persepolis she talks about her life stories. When I was making my draft I thought about how many panels I needed to make my story. In my drafting there’s no detail in the background. I added that in my final draft. I thought about the building and windows that should be in the background and added that. In the writing decisions I made the 2nd panel have at the very top of the panel FLASHBACK in big letters to show it was in the past. In my panels the building has words at the top of the building like hospital, motel, and adoption center. I balanced the words and drawing by limiting the amount of words I use because I wanted the drawing to show what happened, not the words. I had to add some words like hospital to show the reader what’s happening in the story.
