For my webcomic memoir, I chose to write about my experience changing schools. It may be a small moment but to me then it was big. Those days that I went through the process of changing schools made me realize that almost everything has a silver lining.

Although not as extreme a change as what Marjane went through in Persepolis, I think that my story represents how although something you may not want happens, most of the time there’s always a good reason for it.

Our whole class out by started by brainstorming memories that could connect with the Persepolis story. At first I was having trouble coming up with a good idea that could have gone with the story of Persepolis so that’s when I went to the wall of sticky notes to think of some ideas. That’s when I got an idea; I could make a story of change and it could be about how I changed schools

Since I’m not the biggest fan of writing and feel like it’s not my biggest skill I thought that I could use my art to express and add on to my writing by using expressions, lighting, and abstract thoughts.
