Music is Therapy

Ky Dupree

I believe music belongs everywhere because it helps me feel calm, happy, and comfortable in any place I am in. Music is very important to me because it helps me get through my day. When I hear music, I feel safe and relaxed. It helps me feel ready to do my work and enjoy what I am doing.

One time, I tried doing my chores without music. The house was very quiet, and the quiet made everything feel slow and boring. I did not want to clean or help. I felt tired, and my body did not want to move. Time felt like it was moving too slowly. I felt annoyed and unmotivated. Cleaning felt like hard work. Then I found my headphones and turned on my favorite music. Right away, my mood changed. I started to feel happier and full of energy. My feet wanted to move, and my hands worked faster. The music helped me finish my chores, and it made cleaning feel fun instead of boring.

I like having music in every situation because it helps me feel better inside. When I feel stressed or upset, music helps calm my mind. When I feel bored, music makes things exciting. Music is my way to escape when I need a break. Sometimes I cannot find the right words to explain my feelings, but music helps express them for me.

Some songs feel like they are telling my story. When I listen to the lyrics, it feels like the song understands me. The words match what is happening in my life, and that makes me feel less alone. The beat and the bass make the music fun and exciting to listen to. They make me want to move, dance, or smile. Music can turn boring moments into happy ones.

Music brings color into my world when everything feels black and white. It fills quiet spaces and makes them feel warm and alive. Without music, things can feel empty and silent. When I hear music, it feels like someone is with me, cheering me on and helping me keep going. Music helps me feel strong and positive.

Music helps me at home, at school, and anywhere I go. It helps me focus, relax, and feel happy. That is why I believe music belongs everywhere. Music is not just something I listen to. Music is something I feel, and it makes my life better every day.

Writer's Statement

With music, even small tasks feel fun and important. But music can be a problem sometimes. For example, when I am studying or doing homework, music can distract me. That shows that the music is really good, but it can make it harder to focus.
