I Believe People Should Have Pets

Isabella Brame

I believe people should have pets. When I was younger I hated cats but when I got a cat I realized they are very easy to take care of. This belief started when I got my cat. We begged my mom to get a cat. We didn't have to beg too hard. Once we got to the shelter and she looked at all the kittens she fell in love with all of them. She especially liked the white ones but they weren't ready for adoption yet. That was good because we wanted a tuxedo Kitten then we saw Romeo's (My cat) sister got taken away so then we got him.

When I got my cat I realised cats are easier to take care of then I thought. All we do is let him out, feed him and since he goes outside he doesn't use The letterbox anymore. He only uses it if it's an emergency when he is inside. I like this a lot because I don't have to do as much as I do with my dog and he has friends on the street but he comes inside to sleep. most of the nights and when it's hot or too cold.

Cats teach you a lot. They teach you how to earn their friendship, companionship and trust. They also teach you how to take care of them. without Purchasing By fostering I guess you could foster any animal but especially kittens because they are happy and exciting.

But what I'm really saying is that animals, especially cats, are very calming and they're good company. This matters because people get lonely and depressed. I see this belief in action whenever my cat walks up to me or lets me pet him a lot and just all the time when I look at him because he's so cute.

That's why I believe people should get pets because they bring you Joy and Company. Next time you drive by the shelter remember there's always a lot of animals waiting to get adopted at the shelter.
