Failing Is Just Another Step to Success

Bryan Sanchez

It might sound simple, but I believe failing isn't bad. An example of me failing a test or a class is when I received my score from all of the English assignments I’ve done, I had threes and twos and even ones. This made me feel awful about myself and it made me come to the realization that one day that english class would be a memory.

Something else I felt at that moment was worry. One reason I was worried was because I couldn't imagine what my parents would think about me failing an assignment. They have been so supportive of my academics for the past 12 years of my life. In the end I had confessed to them that I had failed a couple of assignments. At first they were pretty upset but in the end they just started being more attentive to my academics.

Another reason I was worried is because if I wasn’t working on my academics then there would be a possibility of ending up working an unpaying job and even worse I could end up homeless,or without a job. The point is, what if I didn't end up successful because of how much I am slacking off in class

There's more pros to failure than cons but this isn't really about failure. It's about improving yourself through experience and failure. An example of me bettering myself is when I failed my first test, this happened in my 7th grade Science class . I scored 54% out of 100%. I noticed that I had a chance to improve the essay and get a better grade with a revision. It made me feel relieved when I got my scores back and got an 82%. The realization that my failure led me to success felt sweet and nice to me.

If it wasn’t for failing I wouldn't be where I am today, So i'm proud of all the accomplishments i've achieved through failure. At the end of the day I believe that failure isn't as bad as it seems and I hope you can agree with me.

Writer's Statement

I wrote about this topic because I felt the need to. The thought of failure is probably scary for most kids, so i decided to write why it might not be so bad after all, the true intention of my essay is that I want people to believe failure can impact them in not only a negative way but a positive way too.
