Pet Sematary, by Stephen King, takes place in the rural and scenic Ludlow, Maine. Dr. Louis Creed is enjoying his new job and new beginning with his family. So much it seems unreal. But what the Creeds don’t know is that there is a strong undertone of danger that they are about to find out for themselves, a danger that they wouldn’t have dared moved here if they knew it existed. Beyond the unofficial Pet Sematary out in the woods behind their home, there is a bloodcurdling secret hidden there, a truth more chilling than death, a place that if you dare interact with its mysterious abilities, something bad is bound to happen.
I would recommend this book if you are looking for a read that leaves you on edge and makes you sad. I, personally, really enjoyed this book. It was suspenseful, pretty spooky, and had a good edge to it. It was also very sad, which was something that took me by surprise.
