The main character is 17-year-old Pippa Fitz-Amobi, who is resolved and studious. The story takes place in 2019, in the fictional town of Fairview, Connecticut. In A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, Pip goes “digging up old graves” by returning to a case the police closed five years ago, one that has haunted her town ever since. Everyone around her has been convinced: Sal Singh murdered his girlfriend, Andie Bell, and then killed himself in guilt. But Pip isn’t convinced, so she teams up with Ravi, the brother of Sal Singh, and risks the safety of herself and everyone she loves to find out what really happened five years ago.
