I think that 1984 is an excellent piece on absolute dictatorship and individuality. If you enjoyed the giver and want a more mature take on government, 1984 is an excellent book for you, with it being especially relevant in the current age. Unlike many books in its time like Brave New World, 1984 doesn't express fears about the industrial revolution, and instead with the rights of the individual and communism's flaws.

I liked this book due to the fact that its a Dystopian novel. Also there are many plot twists and like it really because of the main theme of a totalitarian party.
